Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. (Heb 12:1-3)
Faith at Work enables you to do your work with excellence, while waiting in expectant hope for the day of Christ’s return.
With your eyes constantly looking ahead to the glorious future that Christ’s death and resurrection assures us of, with your hands firmly placed in your Savior’s nail pierced hands you can confidently walk through the storms of life, past the bullies in your workplace confident that he who holds your hands will not let your foot stumble.
God is building his Kingdom, not your manager, not your coworkers, not your friends or your enemies. Therefore nobody can remove you from God’s Kingdom.
God’s Kingdom is not just an abstract future concept. God’s Kingdom is a present reality in your life where the Holy Spirit is bearing fruit, and you are being transformed into God’s image.
Because you love God, because you obey God’s teaching, you have this certain promise that God has come and made his home with you.
Prayer: Our Father who is in Heaven, hallowed be your name. Your Kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.
Blessings
