Do you not know? Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
(Isa 40:27-31)

God is mysteriously, graciously, lovingly concerned about every aspect of your life. In God’s eyes you are not too small, too insignificant, or too sinful. You are precious and important to God. You are worthy of God’s attention and care.

Why do you complain? Why do you say “My way is hidden from the Lord; my cause is disregarded by my God?” (Isa 40:27-28)

Who can accurately comprehend any aspect of God or tell him what to do? Was there a heavenly committee meeting that planned the earth, or that planned your life? With whom will you compare God? To what image will you liken him? Who is God’s equal? (Isa 40:18,25)?

God speaks to you!

God who spoke creation into existence, daily speaks words of grace, comfort, hope, forgiveness, restoration, encouragement, and truth to you personally. You can take God’s words to heart and believe them for they are true. God’s words can move you forward when you are paralyzed by circumstances. God’s words will give you hope while you wait.

God is sovereign!

God is absolutely sovereign over every organization and nation. God is infinitely greater then your work, your company and the people you work with. God sits enthroned above all principalities and powers of this world.

God is your shepherd!

God who rules from with a mighty arm from his throne in heaven tenderly gathers you like a lamb in his arms and carries you close to his heart. God who freely offered His Son as Savior and Redeemer gently leads you along.

Your Shepherd’s strength is tireless, and His wisdom is unfathomable. With a strong arm and a tender touch your Shepherd knows just what you need. God knows not only just what you need; God knows what each of the sheep in his flock needs.

God who created each star and calls each star by name, who knows their very essence; also knows your hopes and dreams, your gifts and limitations, your fears and joys.

God longs to share his power with you!

God’s power never weakens. God never grows weary. God’s omnipotent strength is sufficient not only for himself, but also for you. In fact, God graciously offers to you not only his strength, but his love, his joy, his peace, his patience, his kindness, his goodness, his faithfulness, his gentleness and his self-control.

God never ignores you or forgets you. You are God’s child. God gave his Son for you. You are God’s passion and special possession.

Prayer

Gracious Father, thank you that you care about every aspect of my life. I place my hope in you! Fill me with your strength so that I might soar on wings like eagles, and run the course you have laid out for me without growing weary.
