Jesus is able to save completely those who come to God through him (Heb 7:25)
Relax! If you have confessed your sins and invited Jesus to be your Savior then your salvation is not just a historical fact, it is a perpetual present reality, and a firm assurance for your future. Jesus’s power knows no limits Jesus’s love knows no boundaries. No supplements required. You don’t need to look anywhere else or try anything else. Your salvation is complete!
Rejoice! For you have found a high priest who is qualified to understand your weaknesses. You will be tempted. Life is challenging. Feelings change. But you have a certain hope that Jesus your eternal high priest is interceding for you with your Heavenly Father right this moment for every aspect of your life. He will never fail you or forsake you.
When you feel all alone you can come to God, because Jesus your high priest is continuously in God’s presence. You don’t have to worry that the line will be busy or that Jesus has gone for coffee. In God’s presence Jesus is constantly conversing with his Father who hears and grants Jesus’ requests on your behalf.
When you feel like the life has been sucked out of you, Jesus has unlimited strength to renew your spirit.
When you feel disqualified, Jesus your loving high priest intercedes on your behalf so that you can know that you are always acceptable in God’s presence.
When you feel discouraged you can look to Jesus who has the authority and unlimited resources to supply grace and mercy in your time of need.
Praise the Lord, for his holiness; for living a life fully pleasing and faithful to his Father so that he can now intercede on your behalf. With a grateful heart give thanks that Jesus’ life and conduct was blameless so that nothing disqualified him from being your high priest so that you can know salvation right now where you live and work.
Worthy is the lamb, who was slain,
to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strengthand honor and glory and praise! To him who sits on the throne and to the Lambbe praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever! (Rev 5:12, 13)
Because Jesus lives forever, he has a permanent priesthood. Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them. Such a high priest truly meets our need—one who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens. Unlike the other high priests, he does not need to offer sacrifices day after day, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. He sacrificed for their sins once for all when he offered himself. For the law appoints as high priests men in all their weakness; but the oath, which came after the law, appointed the Son, who has been made perfect forever. (Heb 7:24-28)
Prayer Father I thank you for your precious gift of salvation. Thankyou Jesus that I can come into God’s presence right now, and any time because of your finished work on the cross. Come Holy Spirit and fill me with your power so that everything I do today brings praise, honor and glory to God! Amen.
Blessings
